My Jewelry Booth at the Takoma Park Jazz Fest 2013

I had so much fun at this years Takoma Park Jazz Fest held on June 9th. Clear skies and a lite breeze made for perfect setting for me to spend all day outside under the shade of my booths tent.

This sign was graphically designed by Grain on Etsy http://www.etsy.com/shop/grain who has done all of my other shop branding; business cards, banner, stickers,........
I love the way he incorporated large graphic pictures of my work and the same font that is on my Etsy shop banner and business cards for a trully unique design.
I used the file he sent me and uploaded it onto Vistaprint

I was lucky enough to get a prime location next to an open walkway and at the top of a hill so anyone passing by could see my sign long before they approached my booth.

This is a side view of my display. A  heightened silver tray holds a stack of business cards for customers to grab. The stark color contrast of shiny silver from the rest of my beige/burlap display really helped attract consumers attention to my business card placement.
My black antlered deer (pictured above left) lends some nice color coordination to the large black frame on the  board on the other side of the table (pictured below right), tying everything nicely together.
All of the main pieces were displayed in my signature white frames filled natural burlap backing.
This being a street fest with lots of foot traffic and not a fine arts show, I added a panel of lower priced earrings on a large tufted burlap board.
A cute blackboard cake topper is used to show the price of the $15 dollar earring board. This is also visible from further away so it draws people in from the street. All my more pricey pieces have a small price sticker either underneath them or next to them.
This is my booth from the front and a couple feet out into the street. I lifted the frame on the left adding height to my display and creating a nice downward progression that continues throughout my entire set up making it very easy for the eye to travel over all of my jewelry continuously.
I placed flat, white, square plates in the front center of the table along a nice burlap covered bracelet display.

The only thing I wished I would have done differently would have been to add more height the bust in the center. But all in all I had a great day and got to see lots of old friends and meet many new ones as well! Please stop back to check in on my new designs and collaborations with other bloggers!

ArtHop Takoma Park 2013

My final display of Tribal Inspired jewelry during the ArtHop open studio in Takoma Park, MD, this past April. The white frames are fitted with cotton padding and an earthy burlap fabric.
This burlap reindeer has the perfect "rack" for draping my earrings off of!
S and A Beads Shop did such a great job creating this storefront display featuring my jewelry, these little boxes are adorable1 I can't wait to use this idea for my display at the upcoming Jazz Fest (also located in Takoma Park)

I find that burlap fabric is the perfect backdrop for my colorful, mosaic jewelry.
I have a little sun in my eyes, not the greatest picture, but I am thrilled to have been selected to be part of the amazing group of artists who participated in this event!
