Simone Sutcliffe Jewelry Design JewelMint Collective

I launched as a JewelMint collective designer in the late Fall of 2013. I included 11 select designs and a bio of my path into jewelry.

I have absolutely fallen in love with the commentary that goes on between visitors on the site. It really lets me connect with how people interact and see my jewelry designs in a way I normally don't get to. Jewelmint user's comments on my photography, color combinations and even ideas for other designs, have been invaluable to my artistic process.

Beginning my Spring listings and designs

New to my etsy shop, this piece has actually been done for awhile now, but with my big move from Maryland up to snowy Hudson Valley, New York, I've fallen a little behind on my listing and blogging!https://www.etsy.com/listing/174854297/chevron-boho-tribal-verdigris-bib?ref=shop_home_active

ArtHop Takoma Park 2013

My final display of Tribal Inspired jewelry during the ArtHop open studio in Takoma Park, MD, this past April. The white frames are fitted with cotton padding and an earthy burlap fabric.
This burlap reindeer has the perfect "rack" for draping my earrings off of!
S and A Beads Shop did such a great job creating this storefront display featuring my jewelry, these little boxes are adorable1 I can't wait to use this idea for my display at the upcoming Jazz Fest (also located in Takoma Park)

I find that burlap fabric is the perfect backdrop for my colorful, mosaic jewelry.
I have a little sun in my eyes, not the greatest picture, but I am thrilled to have been selected to be part of the amazing group of artists who participated in this event!

OMG! Polyvore.......

So, if you've view'd any of my recent blog posts, you have probably already figured out that I have discovered Polyvore.com. And I am in love! I can finally showcase all of my jewelry with the clothes they should be worn with! I joined 3 days ago and have been obsessively putting layouts together ever since! Polyvore didn't allow Etsy's items to be posted on their site until recently, they now have a "clipper" you can install in your tool bar and "clip" items off of Etsy. It's kind of like Pinterest.com but you can layer your collected items and change the sizes as opposed to Pinterest where everything is put in a framed collection and left their original size.
